The Altron AW1507-5 is a high-specification 5-metre static pole designed for permanent surveillance installations that require a balance between structural rigidity and logistical ease. As a medium-duty model, the 1507-5 is fabricated from thicker-walled structural steel than standard poles, making it a mechanical necessity for sites exposed to moderate wind loads or those mounting slightly heavier PTZ camera assemblies. A defining feature of this series is the inclusion of dedicated internal equipotential bonding (earthing) points, which ensure the safety of both the equipment and the installation in the event of electrical surges.Hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461, the pole is built for long-term survival in harsh outdoor environments. It includes a secure, flush-fitting access door at the base with a high-security lock and a treated internal plywood backboard for the organized termination of power and data cables. The integrated internal cableway allows all wiring to be routed safely within the pole, shielding it from weather and tampering. The pole top features Altron’s standard 101.6mm PCD mounting plate, making it natively compatible with their full range of swannecks and camera knuckles. This model is designed for bolt-down (flange base) installation.
