1  Are HikCentral views private or public?

The private views are saved to the relative login and can only be edited / deleted by the account that they were created on through the client software.

 

The public views can be edited / deleted through the Hik-Central client by anyone with the permissions set or through the admin account on the client software.

2  How do I use a Google Map on HikCentral.

Firstly you would need to setup a google developer account in order to get the google maps API Key.

Once you have the API key you will then be able to enter this in the web client of HikCentral within System>Normal>Map. You would then need to enable “GIS Map”. Once this is enabled you will then be able to enter the API key for google maps.
